Digital Signage
Digital Signage for Education
The University of Michigan
The University of Michigan is in the midst of implementing a campus-wide digital signage solution with the Four Winds Interactive iDS® system. The design and content are being solely driven by the university and their internal resources.
Implementing the signage in phases, University of Michigan has deployed both non-interactive and interactive displays at a multitude of locations throughout their campus.
A true campus-wide initiative, University of Michigan is using the breadth of the FWi digital signage software package. From building wayfinding and directories to emergency messaging, multiple departments have found complimentary uses for a digital messaging system.
The Department of Public Safety is using the system for emergency messaging, with "important" and "really important" messages can take over all displays on campus to show critical safety and emergency alerts.
The Rackham School of Graduate Studies has deployed two 46" interactive wayfinding kiosks taking advantage of FWi's built-in wayfinding technology.
The Housing department is projected to have ten static displays implemented in their new residence hall opening in mid-2010. After the initial opening, the department has plans to deploy several more with interactive functionality.
With a multitude of departments, schools, and buildings on board, the University of Michigan will be a testament to the versatility, flexibility, and breadth of the Four Winds Interactive digital signage solution.
