Hotel Digital Signage

The Stanford Court Hotel

Rolled out in the winter of 2008, the Stanford Court was looking for a digital signage solution to engage visitors and guests during their idle moments at the property. They needed a system that could independently connect with the guest in an intriguing and interesting format, while providing content that conveyed property details and local attraction information. Strategically positioned next to the bell desk, lobby elevators, buffet bar, and arcade, Stanford Court wanted to take advantage of these high traffic areas to attract users to the signage.

To capture the look and feel of the property and create seamless design integration, FWi's creative team took elements directly from the patterns and colors used throughout the property and incorporated them into the digital signage. The final design offers property information like event output and wayfinding, but also allows the traveler to search the surrounding area for restaurants and tourist sites through a dynamic Microsoft Virtual Earth interface. Typically shown as static information, Stanford Court was able to utilize the FWi system to make the output eye-catching and relevant to the guest experience.

Stanford Court GM, Scott McCoy stated, "It seemed as if all of the digital signage applications we saw were caught in a sea of sameness, just one company copying another. The creative group at FWi rapidly absorbed the direction in which we wanted the project to go and brought something to the table that was current and relevant. Our overall experience with FWi was extremely collaborative and we couldn't be happier with the outcome."
