Denver, CO – April 3,2008 -
Dolce Sitges, the top Spanish hotel designed for hosting conferences,
congresses, incentives and special events, as well as high-end vacation
tourism, has signed an agreement with Four Winds Interactive to install a
real time digital signage system in 24 of its 37 meetings rooms. In
addition, Luxury Communication International, the top technology
consultancy in the hotel sector and official EMEA distributor for Four
Winds, will be in charge of the system's maintenance to make sure it is
operational 24 hours a day.
The agreement, the first that Four Winds Interactive has with a European
company, includes the installation of the Interactive Digital Signage (IDS)
software system for the 17" screens in the meeting rooms at Dolce Sitges.
Apart from showing users the basic aspects of the conference area, it will
include other modules of information so that clients can fulfil all their
needs. Additionally, the system will be installed in the lobby area of the
hotel with interactive displays, providing information about all the key
areas of the hotel.
Dolce Sitges is the first hotel in the Dolce chain to install this system,
changing paper signage for a digital solution. The system offers important
advantages, serving as a complete information system informing clients of
events both in and outside the hotel. As such, the system, which includes
general information and event schedules, also lets clients know about the
hotel's restaurants and spa, while integrating news headlines in real time.
According to Francisco José Jiménez, Director of Dolce Sitges and Dolce
International in Spain,
"Thanks to this digital system for signage and information, we have
converted the basic signage system into an open window for all possible
communication for the client"
. He adds:
"As well, the system doesn't just benefit the client, but becomes a
complete internal tool for the hotel, offering many possibilities and
facilitating communication processes"
.
With the iDS software platform, users get an easy to use digital signage
system that demonstrates the flexibility to customize content and features
to an individual client's needs. iDS leverages familiar Microsoft programs
and integrates with multiple live data types, giving the system a truly
unique competitive advantage. Offering a comprehensive feature set
including a drag and drop user interface, multi-user security, broad
content support, and interactivity, the iDS software package is a universal
solution for any user's digital signage needs.
With the Four Winds deal, included as part of the hotel's budgeted
1,500,000 Euro improvement plan for 2008 and installed in various areas of
the hotel, this five-star establishment is again making a strategic
decision in favor of the latest technology in order to maintain its
benchmark reputation for meetings and conference clients.
