FWi FAQ

How many kiosks to start with?

How many kiosks to start with is a question that must be answered on a client-by-client, market-by-market basis. The number of starting kiosks is likely to be different for a luxury downtown hotel, a neighborhood deli, suburban grocery store, and a major convention center. Needless to say, there's often considerable guesswork involved when choosing how many kiosks to start with. Economic volatility leads to an uncertain level of demand. Likewise, the use of digital kiosks is likely to change the nature of and demand for information, payment, and ticketing services for customers, guests, members, etc.

Fortunately, there are ways to manage this uncertainty. First, FWi's software system includes scalability and a flexible software licensing agreement that allows for an easy change to the number of kiosk stations. Of course, it's also important to find a kiosk hardware outlet that can guarantee the availability of additional units. Otherwise, it may be wise to purchase extra units upfront which can be put into storage.
