Opus Construction approached FWi to develop the digital signage for a condo/retail location project in downtown Denver. Located in the LODO area of downtown Denver, Opus wanted a digital signage system to serve as a building directory and wayfinding solution for residents and visitors both in the residential and retail spaces.

Utilizing FWi's built-in pathfinding functionality, the building maps on the signs draw walking paths from one point to another to assist users in their navigation efforts. Interestingly, the building has a unique shape so it benefits from the intuitive nature of the digital signage software and its ability to take into account multiple levels, wall locations and other navigational obstacles. The solution takes advantage of FWi's built-in Microsoft Virtual Earth functionality, offering a live map of the surrounding area and its attractions.

With the typical size of a residential/retail complex, large-format interactive screens displaying navigational assistance and building information are a useful tool to help people avoid getting lost or confused. Ads promoting the retail establishments drive traffic and ultimately boost sales.
